Electoral College
Why do we have the electoral college system in place? Can this have a significant impact on the elections? Look back on past elections, and how this has affeced them. Why do some states have elctoral voters that have to vote based on the popular vote of that state, and others do not have to go with the people of their state?

We have had electoral college in place for more than 200 years and people think that it has worked in the past and it should still work for the future. Personally I feel that it should be abolished because they don't help the elections in any good way possible. This system is diminishing the principle of one person and their right to vote by giving the population of small states more electoral votes than an equivalent population in a large state would receive. Potentially, this will award victory to the candidate who came in second in the popular vote. So that candidate who wins the electoral but not the popular vote will have the lasting problem of legitimacy as president.

I think that we should and shouldnt keep the electoral college because it helps the system stay organized, but at the same time not alot of people agree that we should take out the electoral college because with the electoral college the small states has bigger votes because the population is so big.

The Electoral College should eliminated immediately. It is not valid in today's society, and has misguided several elections recently. It is a taint on our election system and must be DESTROYED!!!!!!!!!!

Ww have the electoral system in place because to even out population differences between states. Yes, because states that have more electroal votes are worth more so if a candidate wins a lot of states that have a lot of electoral votes they are more likely to win.Presidants have won elections because of the electoral vote and won,but lost the popular vote. States that have to vote with their people have to vote this way because as a state this was decided.-JS
I think our blog looks awesome nice job group!
We have the electoral college system because it's used to show what the majority of the state has chosen for presidents. It does have a major impact and the reason why is because every vote counts for either president.
this is to add on to the 7th comment: (BB)
I think we should keep the electoral collage. I think we should keep it because most of the states have to follow the popular vote anyway. Also it keeps us organized instead of having 435,443 in one state you have 4 or somthing like that

The electoral college really shouldn't be there, I mean it should be the American peoples votes 100%, it's who we want as president everyone in USA not just electoral college.
